Just wanted to let you know that I received word from a Microsoft employee that will remain unnamed, that windows 7 will be shipping sometime in June of 2009. Now to back that up lets do the math, the public beta was released in January (Microsoft has called it “The Beta” not beta1 like they have for every thing else). Give that 3 months to run (that will give Microsoft more than enough feedback with all the copies of Windows 7 that are being downloaded). Release an RC (Release Candidate) around March and then the final version in June. Look at Microsoft’s track record for how long it takes to release from one beta to the next to the RC. Most of them are around 3 months. I have been running Build 7000 since it was leaked on to the torrents. This is the most stable and most complete looking beta that I have ever tried from Microsoft. Windows 7 is ready for shipment. I think that they are just trying to get the last wrinkle or two out and give the legal team time to finish up the Eula finalized. And also to get the help files updated so that they don’t say Vista anymore like they do in Build 7000
Hallo kann mir jemand einen Tip geben. Ich habe auf meinem ASUS LAPTOP F3SA Vista 32Bit Premium und wollte Win 7 als Update Inst. Doch leider habe ich einige Probleme.
Das Update Starten klappt erst mal. wann wirde entpakt kopiert u.s.w.
Und dann wir der Laptop neu gestartet. Somit die erste Fehlermeldung “IASTOR.SYS ist ein falscher Treiber” Neustarten und so weiter bringt nichts es kommt immer die gleiche Meldung. Dann habe ich mir diesen Treiber von Intel runter geladen und die Dateien getauscht. Weil es wird angegeben das der Treiber ein 64BIt Treiber sei (unter Info)
Nach diesem Dateientausch
geht die Instalation weiter. nach lngerem Expandieren der Dateien kommen dann viele Fehlermeldungen. SETUP.EXE Datei def und noch viele andere mehr. nach nochmaligem neustart ist die letze Meldung “Ungrate nicht erfolgreich Inst wird rckgngig gemacht”
Hat mir jemand einen Tip was ich noch versuchen knnte?

Just came back from our usual family weekend outing when I chanced upon a stall in one of the supermarkets here in the Philippines. It’s a small shop selling pirated software. Curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to scan the folders containing the available software.
Guess what I found? Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit).
I asked the lady manning the shop where they got the copy. The lady said she did not know since most of the CDs are delivered to the shop. She was honest enough to admit that she does not know anything about computers. She was put there just to sell.
I asked how much the pirated copy of Windows 7 was, and she gave a price of 70 pesos. I asked her if it was the complete copy, and she said yes. I wondered if she was as tech illiterate as she claimed to be. Otherwise, how would she know if this was a complete copy or not?
Anyway, I was about to leave the shop when the lady shouted: “Sir, I can give it to you at 50 pesos if you buy another CD for 50 pesos.” I simply smiled at the her and said thank you, and left the shop without buying anything.
I am sure this CD is not unique here in the Philippines. Other countries surely have the bootleg copy as well. Pirated copies of Windows 7 are already out even before the full product becomes available, which makes me wonder just how much revenue Microsoft will lose for Windows 7 because of piracy.
As far as the sale in the felipinas I cro that is a lack of with respect to the property of author of the operating system, therefore that country must have the control of all the sofware that there is in the market, therefore the authors to sell the beta of Windows 7 must be punished, since this is demo as any other operating system and therefore I believe that the guilty must be punished. In such sense, if there is no a beta to tester in the Philippines that I authorize the sale of software, is necessary to learn to concern the authorship of software and the author right, for such reason, I believe that the person in charge that in that country the authorities must take legal action with the guilty since that many companies go to the bankruptcy by action like this, in my country that is penalisado and at the same time punishment with fines and prison

Mam taki problem i nie za bardzo wiem do kogo mam napisać, a mianowicie chodzi o build 7057. Instaluje się ok, programy też, ale po pewnym czasie pracy poprostu system wisi. Myślałem, że to pojedynczy przypadek, ale praktycznie za każdym razem tylko po różnym czasie pracy jest zwiecha.
Nie można też wykonać testu wydajności ponieważ dochodzi do pewnego poziomu i zwiecha. Nie mam pojęcia skąd to się bierze.
konfiguracja sprzętowa:
Athlon xp 1700, 2GB RAM Kingston, Płyta główna AN7, Audigy 4, Geforce FX 5200.
Zainstalowane programy: avast 4.8 Home PL, gadu-gadu.
Dodam tylko tyle, że bez zainstalowanych programów problem również występuje.
Jeżeli ktoś wie gdzie to przekazać to będe wdzięczny, ponieważ po ponownym uruchomieniu systemu nie pojawia się żadne okienko umożliwiające wysłanie raportu do microsoftu.
Endriu, sprawa bierze sie stad iz jest to beta i jak kazda beta, to rowniez ma swoje problemy. Z tego co widze to konfiguracje masz calkiem dobra, a na pewno minimalna dla windows 7: i powtorze, to nie tu lezy problem. Ja rowniez mam 7057 i rowniez mam z nim duzo problemow. Przeczytalem gdzies newsa, iz 7057 nie mial byc nigdy wydany, bo zawiera wiecej bledow ze wzgledu na testowe konfiguracje itd. Pod wzgledem stabilnosci build 7000 byl o wiele lepszy i totez polecam Ci zrobic: wroc do 7000, jesli nie dasz rady poczekac do nastepnego builda i zawiasy az tak Ci przeszkadzaja.
A na przyszlosc, nie uzywaj polskiego na anglojezycznej stronie, bo polski malo kto zna i nikt Ci nie pomoze.

I rub the sleep from my eyes and lean back, stretching another kink out of my spine. As my bleary eyes return to focus, I glance to the corner of my desktop; is it really four in the morning? I feel terrible; I’ve been zealously researching the latest reports of Windows 7 leaks for the last six hours. Hell, I just realized my playlist ended over an hour ago, which means I’ve been staring at a computer screen in relative silence (except for the painful whir of custom fans compensating for an insane overclock). I take my first sip of water in three hours from a luke-warm glass and rummage through my physical desk for some rolling papers.
It’s been a ridiculous 72 hours, with rumors and rumors of rumors sending my neck of the web into a confused uproar. Is this build fake? Is it the escrow release candidate or is it the first of the release-to-manufacturers builds? I’ve uncovered a lot of clues, but few answers, and it seems that the deeper I get into this mystery, the more uncertainty crops up.
I flick over to utorrent; the latest supposedly-real build is still stuck at 87.2%. Damnit! Outside, the garbage truck lugubriously trundles up my street on its thankless errand. I listen to the undecipherable banter of the garbagemen and the clatter of my neighbors’ waste being emptied into the mechanical monster before the metal beast lurches with a hellish whine to its next stop.
I find an empty packet of Zig-Zags, but it doesn’t matter; I have nothing more to roll. I decide to clear my head with a quick visit to /b/ over at 4chan, and come back six out-loud-laughs, two sensations of utter disgust and seventeen minutes later to continue my as-yet fruitless quest.
Build 7077 or build 7105? Which is RC, which is Escrow, which is RTM? Which is fake? Are both fake; are neither? For every seeming answer I coax from the web, a dozen antithetical statements counter with fear, uncertainty and doubt. Perhaps I should find that whiskey bottle….

We do not understand why Mikeysoft, don’t have this fixed in WeeSeven, it’s beyond my comprehension.
I’ve two problem with Windows7 and I don’t know to go out!!!
1) My notebook receive very not very well the wireless connection. Sometimes it go out and dasn’t receive it.
2) I want to install Windows7 in a Server in my work, but in this server ther is one SATA hard disk, so Windows7 don’t see the HD!!

Hi, I have to do a little test with Windows7 to calcolate the time to start and stop and it’s all very good. I’ve a little problem with the wireless because it’s not stable but the LAN is a very very good. How I can stabilize the wireless in my notebook?

it depends, wireless can be tricky sometimes..
questions:
does your provider give you enough bandwidth?
how strong is your signal?
(be measured by a Network Meter free available at addgadget.com)
such testing does not necessarily need a WLAN or LAN..

Maybe, check your gateway/router/modem manufacturer if they have a driver for WeeSeven…
But if you work in VM Mode under XP, then you can figure out this, without replacing XP for W7..
Mostly the VM supplies the drivers already installed on your computer, some not, cause they were not written for W7 but for Xp, dig?

Reimar and others,I believe the site owner is updating the forum software called vBulletin to version 4.0.0 PL1 which fixes the security holes that were affecting this forum and others using version 3.8.4 or older.
The problem is with the vbulletin software that most forums use.
The new version was released less tha 24 hours ago.
