Hey everybody! I’m Kryticate, the new blogger in town. I will be helping out with articles from now on along with updating the site. I’ll also be focusing on getting the forums more active.
Like many other people, I like being able to have an OS that is customized to my needs. Well, if you want to do that, now you can! WinVistaClub updated their Ultimate Windows Tweaker. It can edit over a hundred settings, which can customize your desktop fully to your liking.
As you can see from the picture, there are quite a few options for you to choose from. Ultimate Windows Tweaker detects what your operating system is and what browser you are using and offers you only the relevant tweaks, so it is very safe to use. It also lets you create sytem restore points before you make tweaks so you can restore your system if anything does happen.
This is a very small application, only 380 KB and does not require any installation process. It was originally designed for Windows Vista, but has been made to tweak some of Windows 7 settings too. You can download Windows Ultimate Tweaker 1.1 here.
Many other tweaking programs will probably surface and there are a few already (if you search around enough, you might find some); when they do, we’ll let you know.

This piece of software is really buggy !!!
Don’t know about the bugginess, but I do want to welcome Kryticate on the frontpage here. Good to see Al getting some help!
This is an awesome software and it’s not buggy @ Eddie.
and @ Admin it’s for the Vista Platform not fully compatible on Windows 7. You tweak Windows 7 with this tool on your own risk.
So why does the title say “Tweak Hundreds of Windows 7 Settings With Ultimate Windows Tweaker”. It doesnt even check your current settings on launch, so as soon as you hit apply, bang, 20 settings are applied even if you didn’t change them! Not good.
It is quite buggy on WIndows XP. But it has promise. Keep working on it. I like it.
But i think it is for Windows Vista (Though it also works on Windows 7)
And u r running it on XP???
works very good tanks
The app is meant for Vista. Not for 7 or XP.
This prog is awesome and it is not buggy at all
Thank You for this one, but one question Can Tune Up Utilities work in Windows 7…?
When I bother to boot into my Win7 install I’ll try this out.. Hmm..
I Love Tweakers
I know one of the much more powerful utility called Win7Zilla. It contains hundreds of tweaks too but includes the screenshots and descriptions. http://www.win7zilla.com check it out
