I love it(windows 7) best OS ever from Microsoft(will comment at length later)Question: Every Vista 64 driver I had on hand worked well with ’7′ except for my printer( HP 3140 All in One ) Got anything yet for this device. I’d sure appreciate a driver for my printer that works!

Try using the SigmaTel Audio driver. Works well with windows 7. Initially for vista 32bit

WITH 10 DAYS MICROSOFT RELESING ALL THE DRIVES
try go thru the control panel and get it to detect the audio drivers. I have experienced with Win7 RC1 that it had troubles detecting the video card. However, I ended up re-installing the OS because something had tweaked it from letting me to go to the logon screen. When I re-installed the OS the video card showed up. Other than actually trying to do what I did, try downloading the drivers and keep them in a folder on a blank CD/DVD or a USB HDD so that you have a backup (incase you pick up a worm/virus).

I have an ECS nforce3-a motherboard installed in my computer and the network drivers that came with the board supports windows XP and Vista but does not support Windows 7 Beta.
Therefore I can not access the internet. Otherwise Windows 7 beta installed perfectly.

I had similar problem when installing 7. Ended up replacing my old DVD with a Sata DVD drive and everything came up and loaded perfectly once new Optical drive was in.

about the sound drivers for windows 7
units, what i did is to download the latest bios update of my motherboard which is ASUS, then installed the vista driver for my sound driver which is SoundMax, and its blasting the sound… ( i mean its now working ). im not sure if this is also the same with other motherboard brands… maybe just try it.

Thas why your name is “DICK”.. can’t you see that is BETA? if you dont wanna get a problem just go buy the original. u can actually report the problem to their expert technician and you will not get STUCK when u facing a problem.
I am using win7 ultimate 64bit, and i aint having problem with it. as long u use trusted branded (such as logitech,amd, intel or anything) you can get the driver from their official website and trust me u will not get fucked up with it.

If ur having problems installing ur sound… to get them working go into ur sound properties and update ur sound drivers…make sure u have ur drivers ready either on a ur systems utilities cd that came with ur pc or if u havent got that u can download them from the net for ur pc and save the drivers in a location that u can find it then all u have to do is click update drvers and follow the instructions in there..:)
really windows 7 is an upgrade of vista betaa u upa lol unfortunately u will have to upgradde ur hardware or go and buy a brand new pc… maybe i don’t know i could be talking shit lol coz I havent tried to install it in an old pc yet…well my pc’s 2 years old hmmm well I think long as its got 1 gig of mem then it will be ok.. I will try it on a 512 mem pc just for kicks lol I gotta feely it won’t work though..:)
i did it yesterday and it worked…except for sound driver and network driver weren’t working but i got the sound working with realtek!! and i’m about to work on network driver…and if network driver doesn’t work then i will buy a usb network adapter

Do you have the G31 driver cd? If yes, go into device manager and right click on your sound device and click update drivers, then tell W7 to manually install the driver, and clech the boz that says to search these directories, and browse to your cd/dvd drive, and windows will search the disc for compatible drivers (Vista and W7 have the same basic kernel inside, so most Vista drivers will work for W7).
Alternatively try finding a .zip file for your drivers and extract them to a directory on your HDD DON’T use the setup.exe file for drivers, as many of them have version checking on them to work out which version of windows you are running, to install the appriate drivers, when W7 reports it’s Windows version 6.1 the setup file pops up and syas it doesn’t have any copaitble drivers, If you let windwos install the drivers itself, you normally have less problems
thanxs for help it works but the icon of reltek(sound card) didnt apear in the task bar(doesnot matter):) but the problem is the programe now didtcts my 4 speakers as front speakers if i changed the setings and make them 2front and 2rear the 2rear speaker will not work
so the HD is desabled.

Just for kicks I recently installed the W7 beta on an old computer (AMD Sempron 1.8ghz, 512mb ram, ATI 9550 AGP Card, VIA K8M400 Chipset, VIA Rhyne II Ethernet) I found the best way to get all the drivers installed is to boot from a cd/dvd (copy the ISO of W7 Beta to a disk and boot from it)and make sure your network cable is connected to the PC while it installs (I did the same thing on an old nforce2 mobo)and every device but the AC97 audio was installed, once I got to my first desktop W7 did an update straight away and installed the sound driver from WU no problems. If you still can’t get the onboard network to install try purchasing a cheapo nic (you can pick a realtek based 10/100 in Australia for about $15) W7 seems to have drivers for most nic’s, Reboot and let it discover the nic, and you should then be able to download all the updates/drivers you need.
As for Sound Blaster sound cards … Let’s face it, Creative have been hopless with drivers since Vista was released, with half finished, partially functional drivers all they seem able to make (It’s almost like they’re throwing a temper tantrum, because all these motherboards now have onboard sound and no one buys their cards anymore, but instaed they are just alienating their customers and turning away any new ones)
I installed Windows 7 Beta on virtual computer (xvm virtualbox). The Windows 7 cannot recognize my Ethernet controller and I can’t connect to activate the Windows 7. Anyone have the solution?

I installed Windows 7. Till now is OK, except one problem. I have an incorporated sound card in an ASUS P5KPL-VM motherboard. The speakers are working OK. I have also audio output in the front and a microphone input as well. My problem is that till now it worked perfectly on XP pro, now is not working anymore. If anybody can give a tip how I can do it to be able to use it, I would be grateful. I played even the plug out plug in theory, I tried to install even some drivers but all failed. The computer is not even showing that output and not recognizing the headsets.
You could try to force install Vista drivers. Most mobos use Realtek but you may want to check to see if that is the driver you’re looking for.
Once you download it, run it in Vista compatibility mode and install as administrator.

thanks for the tip. i did the following. I tried to install manually the drivers from the CD given with the motherboard, but the problem is he is putting the headset option not as a playback option, just in the recording option, because of the microphone. I guess I have to uninstall the audio driver and to try it again manually. What do you think?

Hi guys, I recently bought a new PC and purchased myself the Gigabyte S-Series mainboard. All the drivers were already installed and I had no notwork or audio probs what so ever. If u are really interested in making windows 7 work on ur system, do urself the favour and get this motherboard. EG31M-S2 gigabyte.

Hi, I’m using Windows 7 RC. All looks fine so far except thumb drives. Windows show no driver for all my thumb drives even searched from windows update. The thumb drives that I have are Kingston and Kingmax made and also some SD/MMC card.
I hate thumb drives that need drivers. My Kingston Datatraveler works fine though

Do drivers exist for SiS 900-Based Fast Ethernet Network Adapter on Windows 7? I’m so confused… I installed the first Beta of windows 7 back in the day… and I had internet access. Eventually I went back to XP b/c of some bugs. Now, some time later, I put on 7′s latest Beta and it doesn’t recognize the network adapter. Or, more odd, it shows the network adapter in the device manager, acts like it is installing the driver it needs to work, but ends up with the yellow exclaimation point on it. So, I just reinstalled XP… thinking… Maybe I’ll find a driver for my network adapter… ha! All I can find are questions asked my other people who have not received responses. lol

Hello all of u,Its nice 2 see Windows 7 released but its equally dissapointig to see almost every1 havin’ probs with it,especially sound.I’ve also da same prob as most of u.I have an ASUS A7V8X-MX MOTHERBOARD with VIA KM400 chipset 32 bit SOUNDMAX audio but since I installed W7,it does not take Soundmax audio driver[AD1980] from the motherboard driver CD.I tried downloading n installing numerous Soundmax sound drivers from various sites including ASUS.com but Windows 7 just does not take any of them.Eventually I have no sound on my PC now.I m planning to switch back to Windows Red or Dark edition.They’re better and take my Sound driver readily.I dont know if Microsoft or ASUS will release some solution Soundmax windows 7 compatibilty. Otherwise its hopeless to use Windows7. I’ll be obliged if somebody can help me with this.Thank u.

Ok, so i just installed Windows 7 and used a reformat from my old OS(XP) and in doing so it deleted my Drivers for Ethernet Controller, Multimedia Audio Controller, and Network Controller….now I dont have internet cause the ethernet driver is out, and i am testing a bunch of driver detection programs but they seem to require internet access to show what you need to DL. Case in point I need new drivers for Ethernet/Audio/Network but dont know who makes them and dont know how to find out who does. HALP PLZ!
Oh and i’ve forgotten to mention I’ve downloaded the Program and transferred it to my other comp via flash drive and when I run it, the following error shows after I choose the language and it configures. “This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package.”

Everything is good. The only problem I have is there is no sound from the speaker. It is mainly the driver compatibility issue. Has anyone solve this yet?

Yes you can install all vista drivers first and you can use windows update to get the latest drivers for your laptop. I am using the LG laptops which has LG Intelligent update software that automatically updates to the latest drivers. If you have any questions, email me at raj.kishna@gmail.com

I’m trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate x86 on my Dell Optiplex GX-560, but after hitting the Install button, a dialog box asking for CD/DVD drivers prompts me but it can’t locate any drivers. I tried burning the existinf drivers to a CD and inderted it to my PC, I pointed to the Cd driver yet it can’t still find any driver, I’m so frustrated now. Can someone help me please?

Firstly you have to change you bios setting to read the CD/DVD drive and then you can do a fresh install.

try and install the vista drivers. Other wise google “LBP2900 windows 7 drivers” or “LBP2900 Windows 7 compatible drivers”
Do you connect using the USB? If it detects and it comes up unknown, try searching for it from the CD-ROM that comes with it or a specific location where your drivers are.

Upgrade Windows 7 from Vista SP1 or SP2.If you do that all the drivers which were working in Vista will work in 7.Thats how i did it and it works just fine.So give it a try.

you are right there, but on the other hand if you know how to configure Win 7, it is compatible with Vista and Xp, thats how if had all drivers back by running the LG Intelligent Updater.

Try and see if u got the modem drivers installed. If not download them from the internet. Sometimes Win7 will not pick up all the drivers for the devices on your computer.

probably it’s due to your SD card.
With higher capacity SD cards have a new name, SD-HC (high capacity).
Most (older) cardreaders doesn’t see the SD-HC card.
solution may come with new drivers fot the card-reader
check the side of your sdcard, you might have accidentally locked it. Move the lever up OR down to see if that helps. Best of luck.
I forgot to tell, I have been using window7 OS, however this problem does not occur with my previous Window vista OS. I don’t really certain this problem cause from my OS whether or not?

You will need the drivers for your sound card (if applicable) or you will still need the drivers if you use the on-board sound from the motherboard.
I find that Windows 7 RC1 does not always pick up the drivers automatically. Try and see if you can download the drivers or from the software that was given to you for the sound card.

is it the Intel Chipset graphics driver that you are missing? I had this problem when I installed it. It looked like as if Win7 did not pick it up. Second time I installed Win7 it picked it up. You will need to have drivers for your computer just in case.

I am running an asus motherboard in my windows 7 system and all drivers are installed correctly except my onboard sound drivers which i can not find any drivers for.
Another thing that doesnt work is my wireless network adapter Netcomm NP545, all drivers are installed but cant find any wireless networks in range when there is one about 3 metres away and is always on.

Hi, the specs for your scanner are down below. At a glance, you should consider a new scanner, try compatible mode in windows 7 to work with it, but i don´t believe you get lucky. Talk with the scanner manufacturer only, if they didn´t work a driver just forget it and use the scanner for the S.O. it was made for. Windows 7 has nothing to do with it.

hi alqar, im sorry about that, think before you get your next new laptop. That one its good, but you cant unlike it or blame it for that matter but yourself. it works with xp and vista, thats all. maybe you can find a windows 7 driver from BenQ driver downloads with this trick: look for the next Benq laptop model that was build to work with windows 7 and try to install in your model. If it runs, your lucky, if not, work without that aplication until you decide to go back for Vista.

Hola Rafa, mira probablemente sea un virus el que esta dandote problemas, prueba instalando algun antivirus y si lo tienes por alli se te colo algo, y una pregunta tengo una portatil hp pavilion dv2000 serie que no encuentro por ningun lado el controlador del audio (conexant high definition audio device) tengo windows 7 ultimate es eso y el dispositivo base del sistema esos dos no me los reconoce si pudieras darme alguna alternatic, fijate que ya investigue en las paginas de HP y me dice que el modelo no lo soporta pero quiero ver otra opinion

hi, that laptop was build for xp and vista, not for window 7. try to find the first laptop model after yours that as windows 7 o.s. and play the trick of downloading and installing that drivers into you pc, may you be lucky. if not, forget it. go back to vista.
my mic works/ but seeing as i have headphones i can not get both to work at the same time. as the cable can not reach both ports/

Windows 7 is great but im having major problem.I have acer aspire 3003wlmi and it has sis m760gx integrated graphics.Problem is acer and sis doesnt have even vista drivers for it so i have to use it as “standard svga videocard” and it says i only have 16mb memory and dac is 6bit..lol.Other devices work great but because of this ill have to go back to xp..so shame.

Impressed with Windows 7 (Home Premium 64 bit) but disappointed I cannot get ATI’s help solving a video capture issue. Have HD2900XT graphics card PCI Express with analog video capture ports (no TV tuner). Can’t get the video capture function on this card to work. USB devices capture but not PCI-E. Seems to be a general Windows 7 issue. Any help appreciated.

i dont know if this helps.i installed windows 7 but i was having problems getting drivers for my lan and audio. so what i did for both was went to device manager and then went to network adaper, uninstalled it then reinstalled then i used the xp drivers i done this for both and it worked. it may work for other drivers that you cant get hold of for 7

I have a problem with my sound card. I’ve just installed Windows 7 for the first time and it doesn’t recognize my sound card driver. I tried to install the driver from the original CD but it doesn’t work. It tells me a message like the sound driver is not compatible. But on XP and Vista worked perfect.

In need of HELP,please, My web cam won’t work, after installing win7 ultimate OS for the first time,though it worked perfectly with winVista, I use a “MEDION MIM2320″ note book PC, though all indications from the device manager shows that all drivers are present including the Imaging device:(GenesysLogic USB2.0 PC Camera),which is the driver responsible for the cam to function correctly, but somehow when I lunch the webcam application, all I get is a DARK static , tried all sort of webcam applications already e.g youcam, vary cam, manycam etc, none seems to work still.I FEAR THE DRIVER INSTALLED ALREADY,the (GenesysLogic USB2.0 PC Camera),ISN’T COMPATIBLE WITH WIN7… could I be correct? please what are the possible solution required to fix the problem? a speedy response would be really appreciated,THANKS.
hi all,i try to install my H-10 BM Wireless HSDPA Modem on window 7,but failed to install it because of no driver…i’ve tried find online but can’t get it…can anybody help me for tis???my wireless modem are work at window xp n vista,jus can’t work at window 7??can any one provide me a solution??

Hi,i am using window7 with inter core3duo.whenever i use starcomms connections for browsing,its very slow and most time i find it very difficuit to open a page.inshort everything about window7 is slow.what can i do and what internet connection can i use for browsing.
