I just bought a windows 7 computer and was not able to instal an HP printer with it. It continue giving me a message that there was no driver. Do you think that if I download the driver from here it will work?
Yes…..i dont know why but my computer doesn”t let me listen to music because of the drivers that are not compatible with windows 7……..LOL
I had the same problem installing my printer, you have to download the driver from hp’s website…hope this helps!!!
You must disable your firewall and virus programs to install the HP’s regardless of whether you have a disc or DL from the website. I have 2 (different models). Once I did that, I had no diffuculties. After installation, just re-enable the programs.

The main reason for that is that its not built on the old NT core like other windows…Its build on some NEW CODING making it the biggest change in windows since win 95(though the change may not be noticeable)
It runs fine on 512mb RAM and beats Xp and Vista in performance even though its still in Beta stages.
Don’t know where you got that idea. 7 is built on the same NT kernel as Vista, XP, 2K etc.

microsoft website have problems on the link. After download manager starts, after 5 seconds it stops with error message. tryed many times with 32bit e 64 bit.
I downloaded from torrent and found many problems.
1- you cannot install MSN LIVE via msn web page. you have to download full setup from microsoft site.
2- windows update was not working.
3- Didn’t notice any difference on performance comparing to windows XP

@sanjay, Hi sanjay. They’ve changed the way you install MSN, you have to download a Live Pack now in order to install it – yes I hate it just as much as you do =(
I’m not sure why your Windows Update is not working. Maybe their servers were loaded, try a different time?
There isn’t much difference on performance for me too other than booting and windows being more responsive.
Thats a good thing because as every new os arrives it needs more resources. The lesser the gap the better. 7 BETA fit in between XP and Vista and as a ton more services and features than vista so its to be expected. It is also built on a new Kernel. So it being as fast as XP is ABSOLUTELY stunning as its in Beta stages.
Although I found it faster for me.

I’m using Windows 7 Build 7048 64-bit right now and man…it’s working very good! I love it! this is a huge improve after vista…man that OS was a piece of shit…I had installed windows xp 32 bits for a looooooooong time…then I tried vista…for 2 weeks and couldn’t stand it…i deleted it and installed winxp again…not I have both win xp and windows 7…and man…windows 7 is faster than xp and feels and looks amazing…and it’s working like a suiz clock

I am currently running build 7052. Are there any major changes in 7077? Can someone tell me the procedure to go from one build to another? Is it fairly simple or will I have to jump through hoops? If it’s difficulty is it worth it to go from. 7052 to 7077? Thanks in advance.
I think u should wait for next release which is going to be in “May”, coz no major changes in 7077.
You can simply upgrade to the newer build, if running Win 7. Just choose the “Upgrade” option rather than the fresh new install.
I’ve installed Build 7077, its good but it is saying that my copy of windows is not genuine.

i have win7 build 7077, after long waited released and been installed in my laptop i was been surprise the performance of this latest innovation of microsoft, the problem i dont understand why some of the driver can’t find even i do have installer and/or net. most of the time i’ve encountered hang my pc maybe couple of minutes before it run back time. i’ve searched and downloaded cracked file for watermarked and nurk bomb for trial, still its not geniune/license copy and bagging me the notification that my copy is not geniune.
is there anyone can give me file/solution to make my copy become geniune so i will not worry about upgrading/updating file over net? and reduce hang my system?

I have installed Windows 7 RC and, while I REALLY like this new operating system, I am having problems with my LAN for internet access. While the OS reconizes that I have a LAN card, it is not active nor showing I am receiving any signal. I should point out that the internet had worked fine for about 1 hour after installation; then, after a later restart, the OS no longer showed any signal being received by the wireless. I am also having a problem with a direct broadband access through hard connection. How can I go about resolving the issue?
An aside to the above-mentioned problem is if anyone knows of a word processing programme for this new OS.

hey merlin , to fix this problem mate , you need to connect your lan driver to ur pc b4 booting in to windows 7 , once at the desktop go in to the networking area and u will notice that you do have a network just no internet connection , make a connection and reboot , when at desktop go back to the networking area and do a scan , you will find now you have access to the internet , good surfing my friend

im running at 512 MB DDR at this beta version i guess it is fast enough for such OS
but LACK of DRIVER such as VGA card, and many.. makes it non preffered as daily use..

Hi sidney , with your video card is it agp or pci x-press and also is your motherboard and video card vista ready , if not you will find things hard to get going properly , Hi merlin , you need to go in to control panel , network and internet , network and sharing center , there you will see a list of options , start with make`n a new network connection , if you see that a network is there make a internet connection then refresh the networks you have made , after that you should see that you now have internet access , guys im playing wow , all steam games , guild wars and more on windows 7 , this os is great , i like it

The thing i do not understand is that the device manager 4 the network adapter the unknown sign shows – so there is no driver 4 it. Trying 2 install a device driver (made 4 vista 32-bit or 4 all operating systems – from intel) does not work at all.
I think there is no such driver available at the moment; and without a network – even the best os is a bit uninteresting. But tks anyway!

what a joke…… was just fine until updated BK967355 and nvidia nforce Memory Controller and now its discustingly slow. will not play any games from the start. i installed Crysis,Tumb Raider, Grand Theft Auto you name it it wont play….and ms wants me to buy this crap…you gatta be Kidding if this is the best MS can do i will be selling all my games and install Linux
donald plz dont give up mate , try reinstalling directx and update your video card driver , i find win 7 is great , i play wow , crysis , assasins creed , warhammer and its fine , plus is your hardware vista ready

Moved from XP SP3 on a x2 4200+ system to W7 RC1 on a x3 720 system…can only say this has been my best (combined) upgrade in many, many years of toying around with PCs.
I cant to instal video driver for my ATI Mobility X300…. ;(
Win7 detect it like Ati mobility X600 and I cant use 3D, aero, etc.
After installing normal driver for my adapter, Win is reboot and it’s just black screen….

windows 7 is probaly the best os ever made by microsoft, it is much even faster than xp and it has a good looks too, try the version of windows 7 ultimate, you would definitely love it! it certainly the best! i know every single driver for this OS, if you have problems, try to drop an email at princelot86@yahoo.com… have fun! ciao!

Unfortunatly u have 2 install the whole win7 after rc1. This is not good, sorry.
Those experiencing difficulty with drivers, please check with the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor (Google for it) before you go for this as some old hardware may not work with it but you can’t blale Windows 7 for it.

Asus is the best motherboard my opinion so are intel chipsets…Amd is the best linux though…windows 7 is the best I’ve dealt with in audio although my adobe audition 3 is 32 bit and records under that bit depth it sounds better even before a service pack update for windows 7. The load put on my quad core is more than on vista hole premium…but running on a 64 quad intel I’m sure I’ll be updating Asus settings very soon and can look forward to a better and better sounding o.s.. Bottom line: Not so electric and cold sounding and has less artifacts. Not power in the palm of ecentrics just a nice quite system! Oh the mp3 is on myspace.com/turnpark it’s called “Text Book 64 bit Windows 7″. Have fun!

Installed Windows 7 Evaluation Copy,works beautiful,faster than vista. Works too good with 1GB RAM. Drivers were not installed for Video & Audio, hence downloaded the drivers for Vista & it works good. Its 10 times better than Vista.

Update the sound drivers and if that does not work it will be a fault on the board.You should have a 12 month garrentea on the laptop so if it does not work after updating the sound drivers send it back and they will give you a new one free of charge.

I think Windows 7 64bit is exthakly the same as Vista 64bit.Programs dont run and when they do every so often it will go back to windows desctop.Also save games disapear after a while.

the issue is my Cd/Dvd burner Drives is missing. My friend install Window 7 into my laptop. I had Window Vista Ultimate previous. Look like Window 7 remove the drive so I am wondering does anyone known how to get the driver back so I could have my burner driver since it the most important things for me.

lmfao rick , dude if you cant get programs to work on windows 7 and they work`d on vista all i can say is USER ERROR , i run windows 7 ultimate and it allows me to play old games like kingpin , the original gta , dragons lair 3d , and to everyone plz check that your hardware is vista ready or u can run in to problems and also if your downloading drivers , programs plz make sure you have the right versions for your OS ” 32 bit or 64 bit ” windows 7 rocks , hats off to microsoft for this , rick i noticed you said your going to os10 lmao good luck with playing with your jpegs LAWL

There’s nothing too much wrong with Windows 7. I’ve been using it for a few months now, and after the initial confusion concerning how to do things that you took for granted on XP, it’s not at all bad to use. I will say that if you’re going to upgrade to 7 from XP, then make sure your hardware is up to spec, otherwise it will be slow and frustrating. You need at least 2Gb of RAM, if you want to take advantage of its features. A decent GPU wouldn’t go amiss, ether. The one thing I did like about installing 7 was that it will install generic drivers for most hardware, so that you can at least use it. Things like network, (LAN), drivers are essential as you are then able to go to the websites of your hardware and download and install the Windows 7 drivers needed to take advantage of the system. Once you’re up and running, it’s only a matter of time before you get used to it and find that it may look all polished and shiny, like Vista, but it actually handles like XP.
