How to run Google Chrome in 64-bit Windows 7 Beta

Google Chrome is arguably one of the speediest browsers out there right now, with 5% of our readers using it. Unfortunately, it currently doesn’t work in 64-bit Windows 7 Beta. It will probably be fixed by RC but for now, you can use a temporary fix.

1) Right click on the Google Shortcut icon (not from the Superbar) and click on Properties

2) Select the Shortcut Tab from the Properties Window

3) Insert the following code right after chrome.exe (there are two dashes before the world in)

—in-process-plugins

Windows 7 64-bit Chrome
Make sure that –in-process-plugins is placed outside of the quotation marks

4) Click on Apply, then OK

Google Chrome should now work properly in 64-bit Windows 7.

It does not work. It always closes automatically and gives a message”Whoa! Google chrome has crashed. Restart now?”

I tried to add “www.google.com” instead of ” –in-process-plugins “. It could work sometimes, however, sometimes it crashed, especially when I have used my windows for a long time. If I restart it, sometimes it is ok, but it is not stable.

My os is Windows 7 professional edition x64bit.
