microsoft made some websites in case your update centre didn’t recognize some hardware you can find the site at: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx
just type the hardware name in the search-bar select the right driver (32 bit (also name X86) and 62 bit. you can find that info pressing right on “computer” and selecting properties.
if you have touchpads, and little things (like hdmi output, etc) you can also try to download the vista drivers from the manufacturer site, since windows 7 can simulize and rerender your drivers to make them work in windows 7. (dont try this for videocards!!!).

plus some programs just wont work on it like matlab and so on

you can find it on hp center it’s easy actually you can download the driver right away just put your product name and ask for a driver
