Why would they get blacklisted?
maybe too much activations with the same key, I dont know, or maybe there is a limit of activations with each key
1 key for 10 PC’s max. .. different from 1 key for 1 PC on numbers of activation.
Since Microsoft has been notified that these Windows 7 keys have been illegally posted to the public via this site, to allow people to activate leaked (illegal) copies of the RTM, you certainly should expect they will be blacklisted….

I doubt that. I used the same key 8 times when I had windows server 2008. And plus, it’s technet. Speaking of which, anyone know why Server R2 isn’t on technet?
Windows Server 2008 should be up by now. Also, just a hint at the directory right before the actual filename would be great unless you’re willing to give the link.

I got it from technet.
Bah I just tried to copy/paste each of those PIDs, and it denied each and every one of them. Which one works? I’m on 64bit Ultimate.
The keys don’t work?
Yeah. I tried again with each of them manually entering them and it complained of a wrong / invalid key. Are you sure those are internal / technet / msdn keys? Would I need to “ipk” via command line?

Make sure you’re not getting x86 keys…
As I mentioned earlier, it might possibly have something to do with the fact that Microsoft’s anti-pirating department has been alerted to the fact that Windows 7 keys have been illegally posted on this site….

For some reason Technet keeps giving me a fatal error when I try to use Akamai. I can’t even get the iso, this is lame.
If you are a Technet subscriber, just keep trying. Actually, you might also try going to the normal Technet downloads page, since FTM now works for all of the Windows 7 ISOs. You no longer need to use Akamai off the top downloads page (or at least I didn’t a few minutes ago).

You’re getting the FTM version? It keeps redirecting me to the Akamai download.
Try logging off of Technet and perhaps clearing your browser history/cache, then logging back on. Then, off the main page, click on Downloads and Product Keys from the right side of the screen, and within the master list of downloadable software, choose Operating Systems and Windows 7. I’ve just confirmed with both Firefox and IE 8 that all the RTMs are available as FTM downloads (there is also nothing special about my Technet account – just a basic subscription). Yes, Technet has been very frustrating since the ISOs were posted – been both slow and tempermental. Good luck with it.

I can’t quite believe that so many people are so dense about posting their e-mail addresses asking for someone to illegally provide activation keys for Windows 7. I also can’t believe I am even being nice enough to point out for a third time, that this site has been reported to Microsoft’s anti-pirating group, that is is a violation of an individual’s Technet subscription to provide keys from Technet, that it is definitively pirating to accept, and that it is (simply put) illegal in the United States. Last but not least, I also can’t grasp that the owner’s of this site, who have been informed (by me) of what is getting posted in this thread have still not taken steps to control it. I would have thought people understood the liabilities on this subject.
The lack of personal ethics being conveyed across the board is running hand in hand with stupidity on this one.

So let’s assume for a moment that one of us used the keys posted above and were able to successfully activate Windows.
What happens when the keys are (inevitably) revoked by Microsoft? Does the Windows install go into reduced functionality mode? Are we given a nag? Does nothing happen?

Wow – what a stong response on the part of Windows 7 Center. Perhaps you might want to actually control this thread and block/edit posts and posters. Instead, you might as well just put a little happy face symbol at the end of your message, or maybe one that is winking. Either would be a more accurate representation of the real message.
