Windows 7 RTM at Build 7600 – Download Leaked (updated x8)
Wzor is reporting that Microsoft has finalized Windows 7 RTM at last. After weeks of speculation on the possibility of a delay in finalizing the RTM, Microsoft compiled the final RTM build on July 10th. Windows 7 RTM has the build string 6.1.7600.16384.win7_rtm.090710-1945 which is a major jump from 6.1.7271.0.win7_rtm.090709-1520, the build that preceded the RTM. This build contains a valid digital signature, which cannot be faked.
Sources from China are claiming that they have already got a hold of Windows 7 RTM, and is in the process of leaking it. It has been confirmed that the leak was genuine. At the moment we cannot confirm whether the image being leaked is genuine or not. Windows 7 RTM x64 has been leaked but there is no word of an x86 leak. We can expect many sources claiming to have the genuine Windows 7 RTM leak in the coming days. Please make sure to use a hash checker such as hashtab to ensure your image has not been tinkered with.
Microsoft is [originally] expected to unveil the finalized version of Windows 7 tomorrow at the Worldwide Partner Conference in New Orleans.

Update 1 (3:58 PM EDT) : Windows Server 2008 Build 7600 has leaked. Below is a screenshot and the hash details. Wzor also said that partners will receive Windows 7 RTM via Connect on July 24th.

Update 2 (5:51PM EDT): The uploader from China who claims he has the final Windows 7 RTM code has been uploading it in 100MB parts. Only 10 parts have been uploaded before he “went to sleep.” Numerous sites have posted these links, claiming that they are the real deal. They are not.
Update 3 (6:11PM EDT): Dwight Silverman from TechBlog is saying that a Microsoft spokesperson had told him Windows 7 has not RTMed yet. But Long Zheng, a respected Windows blogger, thinks otherwise. I told Silverman that it was typical for a Microsoft spokesperson to deny something that would be later announced. However, he stated in a tweet to me that he was told “more than that.”
As of now, we have yet to receive any confirmation from our sources whether or not Windows 7 RTMed other than Wzor.
Update 4 (9:40PM EST): The uploader from China is awake and is uploading again
Update 5: (Monday 7AM EST): We’ve received confirmation that the leak is real. But we don’t know if it is the final RTM.
Update 6: Erased the confirmed tag from before. The confirmed tag was to state that the leak was real only. Sorry if it was confusing to those who thought we meant that it was confirmed to be the final RTM build. That has not been confirmed yet.
Update 7: Windows 7 RTM Build 7600.16384 may not be the final RTM build. With Windows Vista, the RTM build had its own subsets. (For example, there would be a build 7600.16385). Updates will continue to be posted as news arrives.

PB’s games aren’t supported yet, because Windows 7 has not been oficially released to public, so we’ll to wait.
Actually PB games do work with W7. I Have PB enabled on BF2, Americas Army, Americas Army 3, COD 4 and they work flawlessly.

Here’s an idea. Have someone do as Amimo suggested and just type WINVER? That will tell you whether or not there is still an expiration date? All of these techs here, and no one else thought to do that?

Using orbit30′s activator for 7264 leads to winver info “Expires 2.3.2010″ and screen info “Evaluation version. Build 7600″, but it seems to be just info and after changing time and restarting the system looks working and “activated”.

You have an interesting interpretation of confirmed, given Microsoft has just come out and announced: 1) No, they have not finalized the RTM, and 2) No, they are not announcing the release of the RTM today:
To be specific:
“Contrary to the wide reports that we have an RTM build and plan to announce it today, we will do neither,” said a Microsoft representative who asked not to be named. “I’m not sure where the report of the 13th originated, but it’s nothing we’ve confirmed and it’s simply false. We will RTM before the end of the month as previously announced (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2350114,00.asp).”
All that has been confirmed is that there is another rumor and another leaked build purported by some to be the RTM build. Sorry, but this site really should be called Windows 7 Rumor Mill….

The confirmation is that the leak is legit, not that it’s the final release.
The only thing that is real is that yet another build has been leaked. The alleged news story, however, has the following title: “[Confirmed] Windows 7 RTM at Build 7600 – Download Leaked (updated x5).” The Windows 7 RTM build according to Microsoft (the apparently minor party in this who is actually the developer/manufacturer) does not exist yet. The title and most of the text is, therefore, still not accurate. If this was real journalism, the story would have either been retracted or an errata would have been published. There is only one RTM and it does not yet exist according to Microsoft. A rumor supported by conjecture, substantiated by opinion, backed up by someone else’s opinon does not make for a fact. Some blogger has apparently suggested that Sarah Palin murdered Michael Jackson – is that a fact simply because someone said it in (electronic) print?

I’m just about to install ‘W7 x64 Ultimate Build 7600′ but how would one go about activating it or will I be stuck with using the ‘slmgr’ command until I can actually buy an official serial? [^_^]
According to what I heard today at WPC Windows 7 RTM will be released, in the next couple of days and so far seems that version 7600 it’s not RTM. Many people expect version 7700 to be the RTM.

So much to re-install each time and all is working rather sweet currently (7264) so will hold off, even though it’s SO tempting!

Doing a WINVER shows that there is NO expiration date. Unlike the previous builds that showed 3/2010. If it isn’t RTM, then it’s an RTM build.

It’s virtual anything from Windows 95 up. Right click on program. Select Properties/Compatibility
You’re talking about compatibility mode, he’s talking about the Virtual XP Mode.
Yes, it’s a separate download (two, actually–one for the virtual pc, one for the xp mode). You can find a write-up all about XP Mode on this site, I believe.

this version of 7600 does not have desktop evaluation texts.
this version 7600.16384 has not signed off and newer build now is 7600.16385 and is under process of being signed.
this build is a full RTM code so ur old cdkeys will not work, stop trying.
this build will not be cracked like vista did for activation stop trying, because for that u need proper cdkey first to install, u cannot activate without proper cdkey.
Yap 16385 is confirmed, and waiting it to be leaked to torrent.

Windows 7 built 7600 x64 English! is not RTM copy, that is why after installation no water mark saying is for eveluation perposes. Already i got it from chinese site with its real-activator. So dont activate it with RTM keys if not it will expires on March 2010.

for those of you who do not know and who are using a evaluation copy say(30 days or so) then wait til you have one day left then open the command prompt and run as administrator then type the following…
slmgr -rearm
press enter then reboot, your copy will be 30 days until activation once again. this can only be done upto a max of 3 times so it will give you a 120 days. enjoy
