Windows 7 Release Candidate release date confirmed – May 5th

Last week, Microsoft accidentally revealed the release date of Windows 7 RC through a Technet Partner page. There were a couple rumors saying that it was actually a Technet date, but a blog post from Microsoft has confirmed the May 5th release date. Technet and MSDN subscribers will be able to get the release candidate directly form Microsoft servers on April 30th.

By participating in betas, we are definitely helping MS improve it’s OS. At the peak of it’s feedback cycle, Microsoft was receiving a Send Feedback report every 15 seconds during the entire week!

We’ll remind you when the Release Candidate is publicly released. Windows 7 Beta keys should continue to work for activating the RC.
