Windows 7 Preorders tops Amazon’s Bestsellers list

Windows 7 Home Premium has topped Amazon’s Software Bestsellers for four days in a row along with Windows 7 Professional in second place since the start of the preorder program on June 25th. BestBuy also told CNet that preorders for Windows 7 were proceeding faster than previous preorder programs, but sales were in accordance with projections.

The Windows 7 preorder program started in Canada, United States, and Japan on June 25, and will end on July 11 (July 5 for Japan.) Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 Professional preorders cost $49.99 and $99.99 respectively. The full edition of Windows 7 Home Premium is currently the 66th bestseller while Professional is nowhere in the top 100 list.

Unfortunately there is no pre-order discount for Windows 7 Ultimate. Microsoft originally stated that there are limited quantities of the Windows 7 preorders, but would not state how many.  Here are the links for Windows 7 Home Premium and Professional from Amazon in Canada and the United States.
