Maximum hardware specs to be imposed on Windows 7 netbooks


Just when we were all about to pat Microsoft on the back for dropping the three-app limit on Windows 7 Starter, TechARP reports that Microsoft is continuing to impose limits on the type of hardware you can use with Windows 7 Starter. Although you will still be able to run any SKU of Windows 7 on a netbook, with all of them maintaining the same level of performance.

Fortunately, most netbooks do fall within the maximum spec limits. But keep in mind that this may not be the case in a few years time.

Microsoft has continually insisted in the past that vendors will most likely skip Starter and go right to putting Home Premium on their netbooks instead. If that was true, why the limitations?

  7. I wonder why the feeds on your website is giving errors on my Feed Demon. I have checked the validity and found no error, could be the problem with the Feed Demon. Anyway, nice post, keep up the good work.
