This is probably the first demonstration of Windows 7 being “rough” in performance. One new addition to multi-touch is the ability to rotate. However, the GottaBeMobile editor could not get his images to rotate. He also had a lot of trouble scrolling in websites as it would cause the window to move. Even in the end, he found it “frustrating” to use touch-features and ended up using his mouse instead. Overall, multi-touch is pretty rough in the pre-beta stages. N-Trig has publicly announced though, that they will be working with Microsoft to develop multi-touch solutions for Windows 7. We should be seeing further improvement on multi-touch in the upcoming betas.
