Excuse me, But Explain to me how I am jumping the gun or Jumping to conclusions for waiting until W7 is on the shelves before I buy it, Sure I can buy it at half the price now, But what am I really getting until I see it's outcome. Until you can magically travel into the future to gain some knowledge of the Final Disk based "shelved" release of Windows 7's success, Then your post is pretty much pointless. Also, This website alone is proof that people are in a rush and want W7 just as fast as they can get it, as well as many other "torrent" sites. I myself actually observe before I make any moves what so ever. There are many bright people in the world who like to use that method. Why? Two words. Windows Vista.

Bluetwishy: "It is definitely Microsoft's fault for not releasing it earlier, and it probably wasn’t an aftersight, but a planned marketing ploy."

WoW, and According to you, I'm the one jumping to conclusions before I know the facts.

I think it you YOU is who jumping the gun - that is jumping to conclusions. You say noone has patience anymore, but you're obviously not aware of what the pre-order entails.

People aren't rushing to buy it now because its the latest thing they have to have in their hands right now, theyre pre-ordering to get it at HALF price, which in this economy is appreciated. (even though those that just bought comupters with vista shouldn't even have to buy Windows 7 at all)

As well, those buying it now on pre-order must have some degree of PATIENCE, since it won't be in their hands til sometime in October.

It is definitely Microsofts fault for not releasing it earlier, and it probably wasn't an aftersight, but a planned marketing ploy. Even if I buy 2 licenses now at half price, then later buy the family license, I'm sure I'll be able to sell the first 2 at a profit.

Well, in my opinion, I don't really think it is Microsoft's fault for not releasing that information sooner, I think it's the Customers Fault for Jumping the gun, and Getting themselves in one big darn hurry. No one has patience anymore. They want it right here and right now despite the consequences later. I guess the world will never learn.

LoL. Something Told me to wait until the Final product of Windows 7 hits the shelvs before I buy it. Having Patience Really Pays off in the end.

Do you guys think Microsoft made a mistake by not announcing the family pack earlier?

Many users are concerned after purchasing multiple licenses of Windows 7, only to hear of such news. But 3 copies of Windows 7 Home Premium preorder are only $150, which is "still" less than one copy of Home Premium. I think MS is already set on pricing so that it won't rip people off, but they still should have announced it earlier...
