Windows 7 Build 7068 spotted on Connect today

Just a quick update to those subscribed to our RSS and Newsletter. Windows 7 Build 7068 is available via Connect right now. Here’s the build string: 7068.0.090321-1322_x64fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRC1CULXFRER_EN_DVD. The build was not sent out to tech testers and was for OEMs to work with. Most users will not find this in their Microsoft Connect account. Faikee from our forums claims that the build will be leaked in a couple of hours.

i want RC now please no more builds
I so want this build!! I must be the only person that doesn’t mind formating and reinstalling often. All my stuff is on another hardrive and my computer is fully functional again in less then an hour. lol
Formatting and reinstalling? Why don’t you just upgrade? I do with every release that comes out. Then when RTM comes out that’s when I’ll start fresh.

How do you get the builds. I want the latest one.
I trust clean installing more then upgrading. Besides it only takes about 25 minutes to install.
Why not do a VHD install, so you can leave you other OS-es unchanged on the same machine…
25mins plus several hours re-installing and tweaking everything….
How do you get to the download? I’m able to login to connect but I can’t find the download…

smells like a fake….. why a pic instead of a screenshot? its easier to take a screenshot than a pic? if its not a fake, looks to be a 64bit version from the size!

God jesus, how clueless can people be to call it FAKE again? i mean, do you actualy WANT us to not get any builds? Ofc its on connect every 2nd or 3rd build that public knows about is on connect, just depends in what program you are. “program for idiots” doesnt do much… sorry :<

What the hell is Connect? Where do i get this “Connect” program? I searched the warez sites. . no 7068 build there…
And where can we download this iso??
Connect is a service of Microsoft, not a software program. It ia for developers that wish to try beta products to ensure software application compatibility. The iso is offered through Microsoft
connect.

Does it need to be made any more clear that NOT EVERYONE WILL SEE THIS IN THEIR CONNECT ACCOUNT?! If you are an OEM complaining about not seeing it, then you need to contact MS, otherwise.. STFU and wait for a torrent.

I agree with jmh363905. People are nothing but idiots that are unable to read. Hell, they’d most likely fail that test that tells you to read ALL the directions first when at the end it says you have to do nothing. They’d be frantically doing everything in order, bunch of morons.
Yeah, somebody read the direction to “piss people off” and did it without reading the rest of the directions.

I think he’s referring to the basic ones that come pre-installed. They seem to be different… We’ve all seen the “Get more gadgets online” link when adding gadgets, so everyone knows that those aren’t the only ones. I must have riled you up pretty bad this morning for you to be lashing out at others like that.
