Windows 7 Build 7057 x86 (32-bit) Download Leaked!

Windows 7 Build 7057 x86 (32-bit) Download Leaked!

These pre-release builds seem to be leaking like hotcakes. Just one week after the leak of Build 7048, someone has leaked Windows 7 Build 7057 x86 (32-bit). The build was compiled on March 05, 2009. At this rate, it looks like the leakers are determined to push out a new leak every 10 builds. The torrent for the build seems to have leaked onto major P2P torrent sites. Many have installed it already and it has been confirmed that the torrent is real.

Here are a couple of images that came from PCBeta. Screenshots show a new welcome screen and a new shutdown screen. Most interestingly is that this build expires on March 2nd, 2010. The EULA also says Windows 7 Operating System Release Candidate 1 at the top. However this is not the RC1.

thx for the info! New start screen looks great

  2. SubXero says:

New welcome screen looks pretty sexy, wonder what the shutdown screen looks like…

And I would download it but I need the 64bit version so I can upgrade.

    • Al says:

I’m loving the new screens too. Is it just me or is the fish in the wallpaper moving closer to the left edge of the screen? lol

    • SubXero says:

Nah, same spot, I had to check mine just in case lol. BTW am I just blind and stupid? But where is this ‘about windows’ screen at? I’ve looked everywhere but I’ve yet to discover where it is.

  3. SubXero says:

Also has anyone had any problems with 64bit build 7048 x64? B/c my wireless signal constantly drops and I have to reinstall the driver every other time I boot up and it’s slow to shutdown, sometimes it doesn’t.

    • tuntun says:

same here Do you find any solutions

      • SubXero says:

I’m on the hunt for them now, so far not even a new install changes the problem, just makes a little less annoying but it still happens. And I can’t downgrade to build 7000 (where I had 1 or 2 small problems) for obvious reasons. I think I’ll just have to keep using XP until this version comes out for 64bit so I can brag about that sexy ‘Welcome’ screen.

      • Al says:

everyone’s having a lot of network problems with their laptops. I’ll be doing some treasure hunting this weekend and will let you guys know if I find anything =)

      • Geo says:

My solution was to drop (uninstall and delete) the Dell Wireless Driver for my Dell Inspiron 1501 which has a Dell Wireless Mini 1390 Card. By dropping that driver, I installed the Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter Driver.

I was able to do this only because the Dell Wireless Card is just simply a branded Broadcom wireless chip.

Try completely uninstalling and deleting your current driver and going into Device Manager and “Scanning for hardware changes”. Your system should attempt to find a driver. It may not be as featured but it gets you online until another working fix is found.

  4. Harman says:

What are the other changes made in this build.

I hope it will be more faster.

Build 7000 and 7048 has some “shutdown” problems.
They sometimes take a long time to shut down and sometimes it doesn’t.

  5. 7048 says:

I dont have any network problems with 7048 at all. I have a wireless netcad.

7048 is much better than 7000 i think. BUT i have a problem with 7048. Sometimes my computer just freezes and all i can do is press the reset button on the computer. This didnt happen in 7000

When are the 64 bit version of 7057 comming? 32-bit sux bigtime. Almost all processors today are 64 bit anyway

  7. DmnY says:

I had two problems with 7048.

    1. DNS Client stopped working, pretty often.
    2. The CS 1.6 console closes when I try to press any key, I can’t use it.

Can you please tell me if you had these problems, and maybe a solution to these ?

  8. Eoraptor says:

Eyargh!! I JUST finished reformatting and reinstalling 7048 not 12 hours ago! (torrent was slow) I cant keep up!

    • Geo says:

Me too but this time I’m just going to upgrade install to the next build. Waiting for the x64 leak. Woot!

      • Geo says:

By the way I wanted to add something that makes my situation even more ironic. Last week, I saw build 7048 leaked but it was a 64 bit build. Well I went on Newegg, found a cheap deal for 4 GB of RAM, bought the RAM and downloaded the 64 bit build because I felt that some day, 64 bit will be what everybody is using. I couldn’t wait so I installed the build before the new RAM arrived (probably will arrive tomorrow).

And then build 7057 leaks and it happens to be 32-bit…but I’m not going back to 32-bit. I need some modern technology. But I do find it ironic that just upgraded to 64-bit and then 32-bit of the next build leaks first.

      • Al says:

It’s ok, I think you made the right move to go 64-bit. When the RC is out, you’ll be able to enjoy 64-bit.

4GB is a lot of RAM. I’m on 2GB and never felt I needed more

  9. mwgo says:

I am using 7048. I have problems with freeze (hibernate and sleep mode). First time system wakes up without problem, but second unfortnately fails.
Second problem is with my GEFORCE GO 7400. I have to use my older driver, because new one does not support Direct3D.

I have noticed the W7-IE does not render many sites as well as IE 8 RC for XP/Vista does. This looks like W7-IE uses prior version of code.

    • mwgo says:

I have installed 7057 version. Problems with both sleep and hibernate have disappeard. But the W7-IE still does not work properly with many sites.

    PLEASE SEED!!

    (I haven’t even finished downloading 7048 yet!)

  11. jmh363905 says:

Has anybody had problems with like the desktop.ini file being opened in Notepad after logging in?

Also, to you guys with problems freezing, I can’t stress it enough to find drivers direct from manufacturer for your system devices especially ones for your chipset. The default Windows ones I’ve noticed are sufficient in the way that a Standard Graphics Accelerator driver is for video. I’ve been crash free since I began this practice…

    • hero248 says:

      Go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

      Then delete desktop.ini

      Go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

And delete desktop.ini again if its there.

  12. kyrisu says:

Did anyone noticed the expiration date? In the previous builds it was around 07.2009 now it’s 03.2009 maybe we are getting close to RC1 :D

    • Al says:

Ya we are getting close to RC1 =) Neowin claims from their sources that April 10th will be the RC release date.

I hope the 03.2010 date is not in direct relation with a 2010 release, because that would absolutely suck

  13. Al says:

Hey loyal readers, not sure how many of you actually read the comments.

Updates are slow today because I STILL don’t have build 7057.

Life sucks when your ISP throttles you to 10kb/s, especially when you pay 60 a month for 10mbps down =(

Oh, and I’m also about to pass my 95gb a month bandwidth limit too

    • Eoraptor says:

Yeah, running into the same thing, been trying to DL this and an update to my nero, and suddenly my ISP decided to start dropping out my connection every twenty minutes,

  14. Spen says:

    I’m running 7022, think I should upgrade?

    Faster and better?

    Thanks

  15. Orrekuman says:

x86 build 7057 works just fine.
maybe its me but it feels like its better performance-wise.

    the thing i wanted to ask if anyone else experienced is;

i use 2 screens. primary and secondary. the funny thing is that i cannot place the desktop icons behind an invisible line. To be more precise, I can place the icons anywhere on the first monitor, but can only use first half of the second one. This is only for the icons btw. All other stuff works just fine.

Seems like this is an issue with this build.

  16. dev1ant says:

Would love to see the x64 build of 7057.

Keeping eyes and ears open for it. :)

    • Al says:

Just went through the screenshots, thanks for the tip

I’m kind of suspicious of the fact that the search bar is so conveniently placed to block out the watermark, although there seems to be some strange new features…

    • Orrekuman says:

      this doesnt smell right.

all these add-ons .. ever seen such a build release before?

    • Al says:

ace can you read the text? what exactly does it say. someone must have went through a lot of work to fake those images

  20. dev1ant says:

By the way, is it 100% confirmed that build 7057 is valid until March 2010?

If so, this kinda contradicts the wide-spread rumors that say that Windows 7 is likely to be released in Q3-Q4 this year.

Could this be an unofficial confirmation from Microsoft that their initial plans of a Q1 2010 release is still very much in line with the actual development phase?

  21. Geo says:

I wonder, is this the x64 build? (scroll a bit)

    http://hacktolive.org/wiki/Windows_7

Could somebody verify those MD5 and SHA1 hashes? Are those really the ones for the x64 build? If they are, I will be glad to check the file integrity as soon as I finish the download. Currently there’s about 200 seeds and 900 leechers. I’m only skeptical because nobody else has said anything.
