The well-known Paul Thurott is back with another prediction for all of us. Thurott predicts that the General Availability date for Windows 7 will be October 15th, that is, “according to the current schedule.” This means that there is still the possibility for things to change along the way. Thurott along with Rafael Rivera were the ones who first revealed Windows XP Mode to the public.
We’ve seen many release date predictions in the past and not many came close to the October 15th date. However, this seems to match up with Acer’s claim last month that Windows 7 will be offered with its Aspire Z5600 PCs when they’re released on October 23rd.
Microsoft has yet to release any information regarding release dates officially. We’ll keep you posted.
