Today we posted some new Windows 7 screenshots from build 6956 that was demonstrated at WinHEC China. One of the rumors circulating around was that we would be seeing a newer and more attractive boot screen featuring rotating balls. That explanation was probably no better than running the Chinese source under a translator, but seriously, that’s what we heard.
The boot screen does not actually have much to do with the actual OS itself but it’s certainly nice to have something that’s a tad bit more flashier than the default Vista boot screen, which by the way you can either change to a hidden boot screen in Vista or customize into your own.
Although I’m glad we finally have something decent to look at it while we wait for our computers to boot up. Now, how about a progress bar that actually tells us how close we are to completely booting a system?
