Intel releases official Windows 7 graphics, chipset and AHCI/SATA drivers


When it came to driver support on Windows 7, Intel left many fans stranded without official driver support. Just a few days before the RTM was announced, Icrontic had found out that Intel had quietly pushed out official drivers for graphics, chipset, and ACHI/SATA. Keep in mind these are beta driver so they are provided AS IS.

Download Chipset Device Software 9.1.1.1015

The Intel Chipset Device Software installs the Windows* INF files. The INF files inform the operating system how to properly configure the chipset for specific functionality, such as USB and core PCI.

This driver provides support for high-capacity & fault-tolerant Serial ATA (SATA) RAID 5 arrays and high-performance & fault-tolerant SATA RAID 10 arrays on select Intel® 4 Series, 3 Series, 965, 975X, 955X and 945 chipset-based platforms. It provides support for high-performance SATA RAID 0 arrays & redundant SATA RAID 1 arrays on select Intel® 4 Series, 3 Series, 965, 975X, 955X, 945, 925, 915 chipset-based platforms. It also provides AHCI support on select Intel® 4 Series, 3 Series, 965, 975X, 955X, 945, 925 and 915 chipset-based platforms, as well as on Mobile Intel® 915/910 chipset-based platforms.

  1. Vista x64 versions seem to work fine for me on W7 x64. I had to dig up and install these drivers manually to get all the HDD’s working correctly on the RAiD array.

    Thanks for this, but feel it’s well over 6 months late… but at least officially working now.

    those driver revs have been available for at least 10 days for anyone wo cared to look through Intels website.

    I’ve tried the GMA drivers – still unstable on my eeePC. It crashes and recovers, which is better than a BSOD… but still, only half-done. Intel makes great CPUs, decent chipsets; but they still suck at graphics.

  5. I should point out anybody who has Intel drivers etc already installed you should use the command line and append Override as a flag.. This will ensure everything updates..
