Windows 7 certainly has a lot of potential to allow users to fully take advantage of touch-surface interfaces, and the HP Touchsmart PC is no exception. If you are planning to get one or already have one, it would be a fun project to install Windows 7 on it and expand your Touchsmart’s touch-screen capabilities.
Whatisnew has written a very detailed article on their experience with the Touchsmart and also a tutorial on how to dual boot Windows 7 with the already installed Vista Home Premium. Since both OSes use the same bootloader, programs such as EasyBCD or VistaBootPro aren’t needed at all. But there is an extra step required in order to get the touch drivers properly installed onto Windows 7. Take a look at their review here.
