The Microsoft server is already struggling due to thousands of people refreshing the Windows 7 page every second trying to be the first to download Windows 7 Beta.
Good news is, you don’t have to wait – you can get it now! Here are a couple of links officially from Microsoft that lead to the Windows 7 Beta download for 32-bit and 64-bit editions

Update: Looks like all the links are down. An announcement from Brandon LeBlanc tells us they are working on improving the conditions with the server before officially posting the link. However we have found official ISO download links straight from the Microsoft server.

Good luck every one; I’ve been getting “Server is too busy” for the past few hours… I wonder how long until it calms down, and if that will be after the limited number of downloads are used up…
I’m surprised everybody is already jumping at the download links already, especially when it is being released at such a horrible time when everybody has work or school.
Well, I’m at work ^_^ so it works for me.
And… it’s gone. The page requested cannot be found. 2.5 million downloads were used up in half an hour.
Nah, I think the 2.5 million activation keys he was referring to would be the ones that they will give out through the microsoft.com/windows7 site
I sure hope so, did not expect such a response to the beta
Where did they even say that they will give out keys? I’m pretty sure that its just the .iso that they are downloading…
Hmm I’m actually not too clear on that but I did read it somewhere. But then how does Microsoft intend for people be able to use it for longer than 90 days (legally)?
I got the 32-bit off torrents, and it says that it will last until August. I’m hoping that we don’t actually need keys for the Beta.

Update on Windows 7 Beta Availability

Due to very heavy traffic we’re seeing as a result of interest in the Windows 7 Beta, we are adding some additional infrastructure support to the Microsoft.com properties before we post the public beta. np. However that download link… Running it in flash get right now. They are starting to Lock the file… some of my jets are getting to an FTP which asks for a password.

It’s starting to look a little silly. When Steve Balmer is telling everyone ‘watching’ at CES to try the public beta, they had to be expecting this kind of response! I’m d/l the iso, but I think it’ll be pointless because the key’s are likely to be released in the middle of the night for use Europeans.
they owe the community probably 1 million more keys. Now that work time is over in the US the servers are going to be even more flooded than ever

I tried earlier from technet. But i couldnt succeed download it. it was giving profile error and server busy.
I guess people already downloaded it. we just wasting time sitting infront of pc from 2 Pm. waiting for public release.

no not yet no working oens before i did yes… now there are dead!
just give the links a try, not sure what the others are talking about but they are both working fine. speed has just reduced since I first posted them

Why do we need to pay so much for upgrade from win vista to win 7? It is not fair to win vista user….
Because you apparently were not paying attention when you could have purchased for 50%+ off during the initial announcement promotion in July. It is a major upgrade and the price is not out of line with such upgrades from Microsoft.
