The guys over at Gearlog (who by the way are affiliated with PC Magazine) thought it would be a good idea to put a copy of Windows 7 Pre-Beta onto a Macbook. After a bumpy installation process and trying to install the drivers from the Mac OS X startup disk, they couldn’t get many of the Windows 7 features working properly. Even worse, they were unable to go online. I have no doubt that the final release of Windows 7 will be compatible with Macs. But for now, don’t risk it.
You can check out the rundown (with pics and videos) of the entire installation process here.
