If you’re running Vista or already know what the minimum requirements are, the answer should be obvious to you. But for the non-tech savvy that know nothing about what’s inside their computer, Microsoft has provided a much easier way to find out if their computer is capable of running Windows 7 – Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

The tool scans your computer’s hardware and tells you if you’ve met the minimum requirements. If you haven’t, it provides suggestions on how you can meet them. In addition, it can also tell you if your devices will be supported by Windows 7. So before running the Upgrade Advisor, be sure to plug in all your USB or external devices from iPods to printers, to external hard drives.

If someone asks you again if their computer can run Windows 7, and you know they’re not going to be able to understand the minimum requirements, just send them this easy-to-use tool for them to find out.

Congratulations old Dell Inspiron 1501, you have passed and exceeded the test. But of course I already knew that or I wouldn’t be running the RC. I hate my processor speed though. At 1.6 GHz, I feel on the weak side. Also my hard drive is only 80 GB 5400 RPM. I’ve got to get a new one, probably at the same time Windows 7 comes out so I can install a new operating system on a shiny new hard drive.
with 64 MB of ram.
Blazing fast.
Yeah and I can run Windows 7 on a Commodore 64 blazing fast

Where to download Windows 7. Please tell me.

I am always looking into stuff about info that I don’t know of. It’s tough to find things that you don’t know of, because what do you search for?
This is right up my alley on something new to me. Great post! Thanks.
