Free Windows 7 at Microsoft Launch Events (US Only)
Here nationwide in the United States, Microsoft is hosting free events for Windows 7, Server 2008 R2 and Exchange Server 2010. Attendees will receive a free copy of Windows 7 Professional starting September 28th, 2009 through November 4th.

St. Louis isn’t far, but I’m too lazy to go, and I already pre-ordered.
I’m in town for the Kansas City event but I’m a high school senior and I doubt I can pass myself off as an IT pro.
Also heading to the KC one.
I already pre-ordered anyway but have fun. Never knew if those things were interesting or boring.

Im going to the one in philly but i was to late to get the windows 7 so i got to go to the windows server
do u have to be an it pro or developer to go? will they care? i signed up to go but am neither, just interested in windows 7 and of course the free copy. will i have a problem? is there some sort of verification process once u get there?
Well if you put developer you prob can get away with it but it pro they will probably know. Also they probably wont even care.
Do they require ID of some sort?
Yup photo ID is needed upon signing in.
