Well its been confirmed through a number of other forums, personally I've used it to make Rappelz work again. So I've confirmed it myself, try it out to be the second to confirm it!

Although there is actually another Error that comes with GameGuard when running specific anti-viruses in 7 that conflict with allowing gameguard to launch, hopefully that won't be an issue.

I'm sorry but I can't confirm on my first try when I put the old gameguard.des as gameguard (2).des. I will try again by deleting that file now.

i'm slightly confused at what you did...you downloaded the attached file, renamed the old gameguard.des to gameguard (2).des and replcaed it with the downloaded gameguard.des correct?

and you did this in the game's MAIN folder, not the gameguard folder?

Yes I did all you said in the thread except I named the old gameguard.des file to (2) and I'm just hoping that when I launch it a second time there won't be a stupid BSoD. Yes, I did do this in the main folder.

hmmm, well actually the fix i posted was for when gameguard fails to launch, gives an error, and then shuts down. to be honest i've never actually heard of gameguard causing a BSOD.

what stage does gameguard do this? do you see their little watermark appear, does it connect to the server? or do you have no indication of gameguard launching before BSOD?

After gameguard connects to the server and stuff then the watermark appears. When it looks like its about to connect to game server POOF! theres the BSoD.

ok, it might be related to the update process of gameguard itself, in the game's main folder, actually delete the folder named gameguard, during the next launch gameguard's little update thing will completely download the gameguard folder and replace all the old files. there might have been a corrupt file in the old folder.

if you BSOD again, sorry :(

I got BSoD now... I guess I'll just have to wait until Windows 7 Final comes out then the developers can fix the code.
