Thanks. http://digg.com/d1o4ADA couple of months ago, wzor.net reported that the RTM would be out by August. However, Windows 7 Center has been notified by two reliable sources that the dates have changed. One of the sources goes by the name skurk and works at one of Microsoft’s partners. (so you can keep track of future rumors and leaks).
Just very recently, Microsoft told its partners that they will be receiving Windows 7 RTM by September 2009. The reason for the delay is because developers and partners are currently unsatisfied with the builds. No specific reasons were given other than that there are still quite a few bugs. If the schedule does not change, Windows 7 will likely be released in November.
A few days ago, InformationWeek reported a Microsoft Windows OEM Manager saying that the company is planning additional major announcements around the time it releases Windows 7 RC, which is in May. Our sources did not tell us if this was the announcement.
