Wow, wish I would have found these forums 2 days ago. Tried installing 7100 on my Dell e1705 with X1400 and I just couldn't find any drivers. Even tried a bunch of different things with DH Mobility Modder to no avail.

Will wipe my Vista Ultimate x64 install AGAIN tonight and give 7100 a try with these drivers!

Oh, and one more thing... It's still possible to download and install the Catalyst Control Center, right? If so, is there a specific version I need to get?

I just checked the files. They are fine.

Redownload them. You can verify their hashes against the ones i've posted.

See the thread started by Billstelling a few days ago about the default ATI 9.3.1 driver.

does anyone have any idea how to connect a tv with a ati mob. x1400 with windows 7?

with xp I never had any problems. now, windows 7 isn't able to identify the tv and it's just flickering.

So here I was stuck a couple of days without video drivers. I did some digging and I found the solution.

    - Download the attached file. Extract to somewhere simple, for example: C:\DRIVERTEMP\
    - Run devmgmt.msc
    - Expand (+) Display Adapters
    - Right Click on Standard VGA Adapter
    - Click on Update Driver Software
    - Click on Browse my computer for driver software
    - Browse to where you extracted the RAR file ( ex: C:\DRIVERTEMP\ )
    - Ensure Include Subfolders is checked.
    - Click Next
    - Windows does its thing, Prompts for Restart. Do so.
    - Enjoy. I'm still deprecated to a 3.7 on the Windows Experience Index based on the Display Adapter score, but whaddya gonna do?

I included the 32-bit drivers in addition to the 64-bit drivers, in case x86 users are also experiencing the same problems.

    Dear Gopha,
    U've indeed save my day.
I'm using a Toshiba Satelite A100 and have not been able to get the ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 to work after installing Windows 7 Beta and RC 32-bit.
    I've tried ATI Catalyst driver for Vista32 9.2, 9.3, 9.6 and 9.7 and all didn't work.
Using your drivers' files and following the steps you outlined work!

    Thanks again.

    Lay Kock :-)
