Thread: Windows E is now Useless

  1. #1

    Windows E is now Useless

Since the new update from Microsoft stating that they will have a ballot screen that gives you a choice of what browser to use/install

That means that Microsoft could put this in the Worldwide release and the EC would allow it

    What do you Guys think?

that's exactly what it means. If the proposal gets approved fast enough, there may not even be enough time for us to see Windows 7 E.

A bit late to propose such an offering...

Microsoft won't give up on IE8 unless they're forced to do so. Why would they willingly shoot themselves in the foot?

They have no reason to give it up. But they are already developing another browser. I heard it's like Bing, basically the same engine but rebranded. MS is one of the biggest corporations in the world yet they choose to spend money on marketing rather than to make a genuinely good product

It is sad, very indeed, that a monopolistic firm like Mikeysoft had to admit that they were wrong and now offer something that should be in W7 from the beginning on...
Only with harsh measures they would coincide and give in, it is sad, very sad indeed.

Has anyone checked to see if the leaked version has the ballot screen?

It probably won't because Microsofr just Proposed it and they have to wait for the EC to get back and also that isn't a leaked version of Windows 7-E

Both version of Windows 7 E are already leaked and available for download.
But they do not contain ballot screen. This is the latest proposal of MS and now awaits the response from EC.

I agree. See: Bing, Outlook, MSE, OneCare, MSN, Zune, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

Microsoft makes a great many products, but Windows seems to the only one that another company didn't already do categorically better.
