    Windows 7 LogonUI Changer + Source Files v1.0.2.0

    Modified by David. Original program was created by GreenMartian (neowin) Modified again by Patrick.
    Source code is included. No malware/spyware.

    This works on previous builds too.

    Does all this in one go:
    • Enables/Disables the registry key
    • Resizes the selected image to your current resolution (or any other size if you tell it to)
    • Sets it to 96dpi 24bit
    • Finds the highest JPG compression that would still keep it below 256kb
    • Saves it as backgroundDefault.jpg in the correct folder (and create a backup if one is already in there)
    • Changes Logon text.
    Changelog(1.0.2):
    • Removed "Enable" and "Disable" radio buttons and replaced with one check box that reads "Enabled".
    • Added three radio buttons for the three types of logon text styles.(Lighter, Darker, None)
    • Added support for changing logon text.
    • Re-sized application a little.
    Changelog(1.0.1):
    • Fixed major bug in calculation. I did an automated test of 100s pics. Seems to work fine now.
    • Warning if not running as admin.
    • Changed double click to single click.
    • Opening the background folder by right clicking.
    • Some error handling so you see nicer messages instead of dying with cryptic errors.

    Simple Instructions:
    • Extract Windows7LogonUI.exe from the Zip file.
    • Run the Windows 7 LogonUI Tool as Administrator by right clicking on the file and selecting "Run as administrator".
    • Double click the big box in the middle and locate a image to use as your login background
    • Click on "Apply".

    When I try to change my log-on background screen to the default one, nothing happens. It just stays on the one I changed it to before. I run the program as the administrator. Am I doing something wrong?

    Did you uncheck the checkbox where it says "Enabled"?

    I found this app to be a little buggy. It may take a few times to stick.
